TOUR

Tarangire / Serengeti / Ngorongoro

Duration

4 DAYS

01 Day by Day

Day 1 – Moshi to Tarangire National Park

Distance

3-4 hours drive from Moshi

The safari opens in Tarangire National Park, where the dry riverbed draws extraordinary concentrations of wildlife — most dramatically, elephants. Herds of dozens move between the ancient baobabs and along the Tarangire River, making this one of the finest elephant-watching destinations in Africa. A game drive through the afternoon, dinner at your lodge or camp, and a good night’s sleep before the journey to the Serengeti tomorrow. Drive: 3-4 hours from Moshi | Meals: picnic lunch, dinner
Day 2 – Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Distance

6 hours drive

From Tarangire you drive west to the Serengeti, crossing through the Ngorongoro highlands on the way. The scale of the Serengeti reveals itself the moment you arrive on the plains — the sky feels bigger, the horizon further, and the wildlife seemingly everywhere. An afternoon game drive sets the tone for the days ahead. Dinner under the stars at your camp or lodge. Drive: 6 hours | Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner
Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Distance

Approx 3 hours drive to NCA

A morning game drive in the Serengeti, then on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The morning hours are the best for predator activity — lions returning from a night hunt, cheetahs scanning the plains, leopards retreating to the trees. By midday you’re on the road to Ngorongoro, arriving at the crater rim in the afternoon with time to settle in before dinner. Drive: approx 3 hours to NCA | Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Moshi

Distance

Crater drive + drive back to Moshi

The final day of the safari brings you into the Ngorongoro Crater — arguably the single greatest wildlife spectacle in Africa. Within this enclosed caldera, the density of animals is extraordinary: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, hippo, black rhino, and dozens of other species all share this ancient ecosystem. After the game drive you ascend the rim and drive back to Moshi, carrying memories that will last a lifetime. Activity: crater game drive | Drive back to Moshi | Meals: breakfast, picnic lunch
